Recreation Centre Roof Maintenance Upgrades

Background

The Town of NEMI Recreation Centre had a full roof and insulation replacement in 2008.  The roof is approximately 43,000 sq ft.

A re-roof/maintenance is required to extend the life of the current roof for another 15-20 years.

Scope

• Inspection of Roof Membrane
• Clean existing roof membrane for proper adhesion of materials
• Complete any required repairs or deficiencies
• Supply and install
  1. Asphalt primer
  2. 250 cap sheet membrane heat welded
  3. All required sheet metal, flashings and stack vents
  4. Any other material required to complete the re-roof maintenance
• Repaint All Hatches and Goosenecks
• All work must meet or exceed the Standard O.I.R.C.A Guarantee of
  1. 15 year on Membrane
  2. 2 years of roofing
  3. 1 year on sheet metal
  4. Supply the Town of NEMI with a document stating the warranty
• Meet or exceed all current codes of (but not limited to):
  1. TSSA
  2. CSA
  3. ESA
  4. OBOA/Ontario Building Code

• Compete all Registrations and required inspections with above agencies
• Complete all clean up and repairs of any damage/changes to the site

• Comply with all current workplace safety rules while on site of:
  1. MOL
  2. Ontario Government
  3. Public Health
• Provide a certificate of insurance and valid WSIB Coverage to the NEMI Clerk (pmyers@townofnemi.on.ca) prior to work starting.
• Complete a site visit with Facility Manager Reid Taylor (rtaylor@townofnemi.on.ca)
