April 17, 2026 - All roads in NEMI are now open, with the exception of Lake Shore Road (Honora Bay) which will remain closed until repairs can be completed.
Reminder: Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect.
Due to the volumes of surface water, the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is maintaining its declaration of a Significant Weather Event.
Motorists and pedestrians are cautioned to avoid flowing water and exercise caution while utilizing municipal roads or sidewalks.
Crews continue to monitor and address this issue.
Also please be advised that Half Load remains in effect on all municipal roadways.
